Advancements in Renewable Energy for Soil Treatment Systems Ltd

As part of the company’s development, Soil Treatment Systems Ltd identified the need to reduce its carbon footprint. The company engaged with Mark Ward of the Solar Advisory Service.

Over a period of approximately twelve months, a design was created that would allow Soil Treatment Systems Ltd to generate 2.2 MW of power. This exceeds the total power requirement for the site at Aikenhead Road and, if implemented, would reduce the overall power requirements from the Scottish electrical grid. Not only would the plant and equipment on the site be self-sufficient, but this system also has the spare capacity to supply the surplus back into the National Grid when the site equipment is not being utilised.
